Bring On the Sun!!
Well, according to brother, summer officially started two days ago. And now, according to the news, it's going to feel like summer this weekend. And I am ready!! Mommy went down and got me all set with summer clothes and I have a couple of nice sun hats that I'm getting used to wearing. It's been nice all week and Parker and I have been able to go out in the back yard and play lots! In fact, mommy says that I'm such a big boy, that I can open the screen on my own and just go out whenever I want. I play with my trucks and gardening tools. Mommy says that I am a typical boy; that I can go out and just 'dink' around and she can never figure out exactly what I've done during all that time.
What I really love is when Daddy takes Parker and I out front to play on our bikes or to play baseball. Parker hits the balls that Daddy pitches and I just chase them. However, most of the time I just 'dink' around out front as well. I really like doing my own thing. Sometimes I ride my motorcycle, other times I ride my firetruck .... but most the time I just walk around and explore.
Mommy took an inventory of my words and I'm up to 28 so far. Mommy says she's still going to make an appointment with a special teacher to help me catch up on my speaking. I can talk, but I just don't. See...it's just another way for me to NOT be like Parker. He talks enough for everyone in this house. Don't get me wrong, I love listening to brother. He's a pretty smart dude. One thing I do really well is run, run, run. I love to be on the move. And I'm always the first one out the door.
Mommy said she's hoping to get us in swimming lessons in two weeks ... that's when they start. It'll be interesting to see if I like it as much as I like my baths.
Okay, that's all for now. I'll write more about my summer adventures as they happen. I'm sure I'm going to have lots of them this summer.
