Yep, Still Growin' Up

Mom says that a lot of things are changing about me. She says that my personality is really starting to bloom. She says it's exciting to see, but I think it frustrates her sometimes as well. Especially when I express my 'frustration'. I still don't speak very well, and I just don't know any other way to express myself except through yelling, groaning, whining and somtimes hitting my hand against objects. Mommy doesn't like hitting at all. I have hit her a couple of times and she stands me in a corner for a minute so I can't move or see anything. She calls this "time out". I don't like it very much. But I am doing much better at not hitting people. Sometimes I start to, but then I remember what will happen and I am learning to control myself. It is very frustrating for me to not be able to tell people what I want or need, so I do yell a lot. But we are all working as a team to help me learn how to talk.
My words as of now are: da-da, ma, no, all done, ball, there you go, go-go, ni-nite, bop (for my favorite show The Doodlebops), and I did say 'Thank You' one time after mommy said it, but haven't said it again. Maybe its because we had a pizza delivered and I was really thankful for that, but havent had it again since.
I can find my nose, my ear and my toes/foot. I know a cow says 'Moo' and a snake says 'Ssss'. I love, love, love stacking blocks. I love jumping and clapping my hands. I like to play patty cake (especially with Gramma Ginny). My favorite thing is when mommy or daddy say we get to go somewhere and tell me to get my shoes. I find my socks and shoes and sit down for them to help me. Then I grab my jacket and say "go go go" while I run and knock on the door. I can never get out of the door fast enough. But most of all, I love playing with Brother. We like to push around our tonka trucks really fast and crash into eachother. Sometimes I push around my firetruck and make siren sounds. I really like cars a lot. I like to drive them on everything (the floor, the tv, the window sill, even brother. But mommy says I have to keep them off the wall). I really love drawing, especially with my nanny Geneva. She brings out the creative side in me. I'm getting pretty good choosing my own colors. I could draw and paint all day! I really like helping mommy with the laundry. I take the clothes off the drying rack and say 'here you go' while handing them to her. She says that I'm such a big help. Then I help her put the dirty clothes in the wash and she hands them to me later to put in the dryer. I do get confused with the dishes. I like to take them out when mommy is putting them in ... but I'm working on it. I do a good job putting my dishes in my special drawer and handing her all the clean dishes from the lower rack.
The weather has been really cold and icky for a long time, so I haven't got to go outside and play a lot. But we did have a couple of days where I got to ride with daddy to pick up Parker from school. I love walking with the big kids through Brother's school and finding his classroom. It makes me feel like a big kid too. Mommy says the aquatic center just opened up after a year of renovation, so she's going to let me go play in the water. I think I am really excited about that, but we'll see when I get there. I hope the water is warm. I love really warm water.
Currently my favorite tv shows are: Doodlebops, Little Einsteins and Blues Clues
My favorite toys are: All of my cars, but especially my Chevron cars; my drumsticks, all of my balls, my megablocks ( l love to destroy my brothers megablock creations), and anything my brother is playing with. Oh, and I think the remote control is mine too.
Other favorites: I love my blanket, I love my board and bath books, I love walking up and down stairs, I love throwing things in the garbage, I love tearing up paper and I love trying to climb up Brother's bunk bed ladder when mommy's not looking (which is usually never...but I try anyway).
Well, now you know a little more about me and what I've been up to these days. Hopefully when the weather is nicer, I'll get outside more and get some outside pics of me and my motorcycle and helmet.
